Our main character Jennifer wears black denim jeans, a black and white jumper, and a navy coat. She doesn't wear items of clothing with much colour on them, suggesting that she doesn't see much colour in life. This reflects the mental disorders that she has such as Paranoia, as she cannot be happy and express herself. Jennifer wears minimal makeup and doesn't wear extravagant clothing, suggesting that she doesn't want to draw any attention to herself and would prefer to remain an outsider. The coat Jennifer wears also lacks colour, but it also has pockets, which Jennifer keeps her hands in all the time she is outside of the house, giving her a closed posture. The closed posture that she has explains that she is an introvert, however it could also insinuate that it is the mental disorders that is giving Jennifer the introvert traits.

The other character in our film Psychosis is Amanda, Jennifer's
older sister. She wears a white blouse and black denim jeans. The light colour of her blouse suggests she has a positive outlook and is a positive thinking character, which is shown in our film when she shows concern for her sisters wellbeing. The blouse that Amanda wears shows her maturity, it shows that she cares for Jennifer as she helps her cope with the mental disorders that she suffers with constantly. She is represented as a motherly figure, suggesting that the disorder is too much for some parents and the responsibility is passed down to the siblings to care for them. Amanda also wears minimal colours, suggesting that she is not looking for attention, however she wears warmer colours than those of what her sister Jennifer wears, this implies that she has a more positive outlook on life than her sister. This is represented in the film as Amanda asks Jennifer "Whats wrong?" trying to help her with her struggles.
The 'Mysterious figure' in our film is just one part of Jennifer's mental health disorders, she suffers with Psychosis, meaning that she sees things that aren't actually there. Makeup was used on the character that played the figure, making him seem dark and intimidating, creating fear for the audience. Only dark colours were used as makeup for the character to allow the camera to focus on the details of his face, and to make the ending low angle shot darker to show the audience exactly what Jennifer sees, trying to make the audience relate to her.
