Individual Film Planning- 2 Minutes.
Planning (2 minutes film)
This i did individually before we got together as a group with our ideas.
Genre: Horror.
Main character: Jennifer. (16 years old)
This is a slightly different version to
the main plan.
Jennifer, as a child bullied for having an
imaginary friend. Lost her imaginary friend at the age of 12…Still teased in
high school and leaves school due to depression, becomes paranoid and develops
psychosis. Jennifer hears voices throughout the day and sees things that aren’t
there, but she doesn’t actually know that she has psychosis.
- · Jennifer wakes up in the morning and does her daily routine; camera shots show her washing her face and looking up into the bathroom mirror looking exhausted, during all thi s play a song that’s really girly. As Jennifer is getting changed the camera stops showing Jennifer and shows her pin board with photos of her smiling and with her arm around nothing, meaning her imaginary friend. Sounds like really positive movie with the song that is being played.
- · She goes downstairs to get breakfast and the music slowly gets quitter and quieter until it stops and the television sounds are the only ones, Her mother is making breakfast and Jennifer sits at the kitchen table and starts texting her friend, camera shows the messages close and reveals them talking about their teacher in English and how they have a crush on him.
- · Jennifer puts her phone on the table and as her mother puts her breakfast on the table the sound turns into high pitched ringing as Jennifer stares at the food and her face is emotionless, she looks up at her mum through the kitchen mirror and it shows her mum with a kitchen knife high up in the air looking like she was going to stab Jennifer. Jennifer turns her head quick and her mother is facing Jennifer smiling asking “What’s wrong?”
- · Jennifer stands up quick, grabs her coat and bag, puts her boots on and leaves the house quickly and slams the door. She puts her earphones in as she walks away franticly, leaving her mother shocked. However her mother knows about Jennifer’s paranoia and understands that she put too much food on the plate.
- · Jennifer walks to the end of her street and begins walking on a pathway with a tunnel of trees, extreme long shot.
- · As Jennifer is walking away she calls her friend as she realizes they have the day off. The pair begins talking about typical teenage girl topics. Jennifer agrees to go to her best friends house but as she decides to take a short cut through the woods in order to get there.
- · As she is talking to her friend, her phone cuts off as the battery dies. Her paranoia kicks in and she begins to think that somebody is following her. The trees in the woods almost create a tunnel, the trees are almost clear as most of the leaves are on the floor, a very autumnal scene.
- · Wild animals such as rabbits and squirrels cause bushes to move and twigs snap. Making Jennifer panic.
- · Her friend knows about Jennifer’s paranoia therefore begins walking towards the path that Jennifer is on.
- · Jennifer is looking around frantically searching for something that isn’t actually there. Through the trees she sees a dark figure, which is the imaginary friend that she once had as a child.
- · When she looks through the trees the dark figure appears next to trees and peers out of pushes.
- · The dark figure has a long black coat with black boots and a very pale face, however you cannot see the imaginary persons face very clearly, making it very mysterious.
- · During all this is original but creepy music playing.

Genre:
Horror

Jennifer,
as a child was bullied for having an imaginary friend. Scenes show her as a
child playing in the garden and talking to herself. Lost her imaginary friend
at the age of 12…Still teased in high school and leaves school due to
depression, becomes paranoid and develops psychosis. Jennifer hears voices
throughout the day and sees things that aren’t there, but she doesn’t actually
know that she has psychosis. The setting is mostly Jennifer’s home and school,
walking through the corridors getting bullied.

a very dark face, it is actually her imaginary friend that she lost. The dark

school. One evening the dark figure comes very close to Jennifer and begins
talking to her, whispering dreadful things to her as she tries to ignore it.
One day she is walking to her friends house, she is on the phone to her and her
phone dies, she’s walking through the woods to take a short cut. The shot will
be like this:
As she is walking
through the woods on the phone to her friend, her phone dies and she begins
getting extremely paranoid that somebody is following her. (Original &
creepy music begins playing) she begins running towards the end of the woods to
her friend’s house. The floor is covered in leaves and the trees are almost empty moving franticly in the wind. Her friend runs towards her, as she knows about Jennifer’s
paranoia. Jennifer only sees the dark figure running towards her. Due to her
paranoia Jennifer screams and runs away from her friend.
End:
The
dark figure begins telling Jennifer to do things and she obeys, awful things
like ruining people’s lives that made fun of her for having this imaginary
friend, the ‘dark figure’. She starts scaring over people that bullied her before using the dark figure to flicker lights and move things without actually touching them. Jennifer's own mother is even intimidated by her, as she loses her personality to the dark figure. Jennifer is doing all these things without thought,
she eventually caves in to the dark figure and he tells her to kill her best
friend…

Skyfall Title Sequence Analysis - Jade.
Analysis of the Sequence- Skyfall.
(Cinematography,
editing, mis-en-scene, sound illustrated with screen)
In the beginning of the ‘Skyfall’ trailer,
a well-dressed man in a suit falls into water shown by a low angle shot looking
up towards the man. The long shot shows the man falling deeper into the sea and
closes in on a medium shot to pay more attention to the man’s face, then slowly
fades to black. The scene then fades in to a close up of the man’s hand being
grasped by another person pulling him further down to the depths. The shot then
changes to a long shot and of a giant hand pulling the man further down by his
feet. Then is a high angle extreme long shot showing the man being pulled into
a hole at the bottom of the ocean, and the main title of the film is shown.
The trailer then fades to black and shows
targets of the man floating around in the ocean with blood coming from a target
which gets closer to the camera implying the man must’ve been shot, then
eventually the camera goes through the bullet hole and shows the clear ocean.
From this, there is a downwards tilt of the camera of a woman’s body from her hair to her feet, when the camera reaches her feet, a gun drops to the sea floor, possibly meaning the woman is dangerous. The scene then fades to black and fades back in to show a what looks like a cemetery but the tombstones are actually knives and guns, the camera moves forward and closes in on a tombstone, blacking the camera out as it continues to move forward.
The surroundings are red implying blood and infront of the camera comes a building that eventually blacks the camera out again showing a paper-like rip with the camera showing an extra close up shot of the mans eyes through the tear. The camera slowly zooms in onto the mans eye and the darkness from the mans pupil fades to the man in a building shooting his shadow, from this scene I can gather that the film will be a thriller.

The camera then goes through another bullet
hole and returns to the ocean, only this time with blood surrounding the
camera, implying the movie will be featuring blood. Straight in front of the
camera is a cluster of blood that eventually forms into a skull shape. The camera then moves forward and goes through
the skull fading to black again. When the camera fades out from black the woman
appears again but pointing a gun directly into the lens of the camera,
confirming the woman actually is dangerous. The camera then zooms into the end
of the gun and slowly moves through it and reveals the same targets as earlier
only this time they are all on fire and rising upwards passing the camera.
Then multiple types of flames and fire are shown before the colours revert to black and white. As the camera moves forward multiple things that have occurred before in the trailer return such as guns and skulls. Another black skull appears facing directly towards the camera, then the camera moves through the skulls mouth and a black tombstone is shown, the camera then zooms into the tombstone and the scene fades to black again.

The camera then shows a high angle pointing
towards a mans feet, the man is dressed very formally meaning he is either of
importance or dressing for an occasion. The camera then tilts upwards and shows
the man walking in multiple mirrors having the effect that he is everywhere.
The camera zooms into one reflection of the man and it appears that the man has
a bullet wound, then the man slowly raises a gun to the mirror and shoots it.
This has the effect that the camera is actually the man himself. And the mirrors all smash.
The camera then once more enters a bullet hole and inside is what appears to be the same cemetery and building made of blood as before, the scene from earlier in the trailer is repeated by the camera slowly zooming in on the mans eye, the scene then fades to black as the camera enters the mans pupil once again, which concludes the title analysis.
